IA was selected for serveral highly visible projects in Jersey City, although many have been placed on hold by the NJSDA pending funding. The District’s challenge is to balance technology across older schools undergoing renovations and brand new facilities being constructed. IA’s challenge is to design technology and security infrastructure that provides each facility with technological parity, whether an older building receiving "a facelift" or a completely new facility.

IA met the District’s objectives by specifying a flexible cable distribution infrastructure designed to maximize reliability and bandwidth by allowing for ever-increasing speeds. We designed integrated systems to maximize effectiveness in both older and newer facilities: voice communications supporting internal and external needs, paging/clock, network access controls, audio/visuals, Internet access, WANs and LANs. IA ensured communications were integrated into the security system, with intercom linked to the access control system.
