IA pioneered the concept of District-Wide Technology Standards Plans, originally under the auspices of the NJ Schools Construction Corporation (now the NJSDA). Through this experience and its success, the NJSDA now requires each District to create a Technology Plan. Today, IA provides comprehensive assessment and design services, including not only Technology Plans but also District-wide security evaluations and technology/security deficiency reports. IA helped develop the NJ Department of Education’s original Facilities Standards for Technology in New Jersey Schools. IA was the only licensed professional firm on the Steering Committee that revised the Facilities Standards for Technology in 1997. With updates every few years, these detailed standards are still being used today as the basis for all NJ school construction.
